Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ Preview

The Note 5 in hand

This thing is like a giant Galaxy S6 or even a S6 Edge. It’s not a bad thing because the S6 was very well spec’d and had a very nice all glass and metallic redesign. So the Note 5 borrowing every element right down to the processor, camera module, design.. it could all work out if the software is up to snuff.

Being a Note series means having a bigger display, S-Pen, bigger battery. It’s definitely surprising that the battery is only 3000 mAh but if there’s anything we learned from the S6 is that Samsung’s processor is fast AND efficient and can more than afford to have a slightly smaller battery. Last year’s Note 4 battery life was simply abysmal so Note 5 is surely going to be a breath of fresh air.

The only problem I had with the design, aside from the still mis-aligned holes is how quickly it accumulates fingerprints. Software-wise does not show anything of significance during my brief test so exploration is going to be a must once I get a review unit. Until then, I’ll leave you with a few pics I took from the event.
